St Peter and St Mary Fishbourne

Welcome to St Peter and St Mary Fishbourne. Christians have worshipped on this site for more than 750 years. The site overlooking Fishbourne creek formed part of a busy harbour since Roman times, and probably earlier.

In the Beginning . . . .

In the beginning, God created the world and all that is in heaven and on earth.

As the summer draws to an end, and the days get shorter we begin to enter one of the most glorious seasons of the year. Autumn. With the colours around us changing day-by-day we are given awesome moments when we can glimpse God’s creation in all its wonder. You do not need to walk or drive very far to be surrounded by reds, browns, yellows and oranges of every shade. Even the sunrises and sunsets appear more dramatic and inspiring, giving a wonderful rhythm to life . . More>>

Harvest Festival.

This year we give thanks to God for his created world on Sunday 5th October, 8.00 and 9.30 a.m. at Fishbourne church, and 11.00 a.m. at Apuldram church. All are welcome to join us, and if you would like to bring a gift of food, we will deliver it all to those who go hungry.

Annual Pet Service.

Again on the 5th October we invite you to bring your much loved pets to a special service at Apuldram church at 2.00 p.m. This service is always well attended, and all sorts of animals are brought along to be Blessed. We look forward to seeing you there.

The St Peter Project.

For many years it has been the desire of Fishbourne Parish Church, near Chichester, to sell the old church hall in Mill Lane and build a new church hall on ground which adjoins the Church.Whilst at times progress has been slow, as planning and legal issues were dealt with, planning permission has now been granted on both sites. In time the existing church hall will be sold and funding permitting, the new church hall can be constructed. More >>

Our New Junior Choir

Calling all Young people, do you enjoy singing! If so very soon we will be forming a junior choir at Fishbourne and hope that as many of you as possible will be able to come along, enjoy the practises and then take part in services and various other exciting events. Further details will follow, but please do talk to your parents about this.

Using our Talents to Build God's Church.

Would you like to be a little more involved in the life of our church, have you a talent that we do not know about, can you offer a little of your time so that together we can continue to build God's church? If you answer yes to any of these, please do pick up a form from the back of church.
